Privacy Policy
Effective date: 5 August 2026 · Last updated: 17 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information BrainBrew collects when you use the BrainBrew mobile app and the brainbrewgame.com website, how that information is used, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the choices you have. BrainBrew is provided by Mehyar Al Suwaidi (“BrainBrew”, “we”, “us”).
If you have any questions, contact us at brainbrew.app@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you first open BrainBrew, an anonymous account is created so you can play immediately. If you secure your account, we store an identifier for the sign-in method you choose: with email, the address you enter (used only to send a one-time sign-in link — there is no password); with Sign in with Google, your Google name and email address (Google also provides a profile-picture URL, which BrainBrew does not use or display); with Sign in with Apple (on iOS), the name and email address Apple provides — this may be an Apple private-relay email that forwards to you. We use this only to identify your account and let you sign back in.
- Profile information. A username you choose, and a country you select during setup.
- Gameplay information. Your answers, your scores (including your BrewScore), and timing.
- Usage information. A limited set of product-usage events — for example, screens and sessions, sign-in and purchase steps, and how game and puzzle features are used — to measure and improve the app. These events are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
- Subscription and premium features. If you subscribe to BrainBrew Premium, we store your subscription status and entitlement so we can unlock premium features such as the Premium Archive. Premium features generate the same kind of gameplay information described above.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect your location or GPS, your IP address in our analytics, an advertising identifier, a device fingerprint, your contacts, your photo library or camera, your microphone, or health data. We do not use a crash-reporting tool. Your country is the one you select — we do not detect it from your location, IP address, or an advertising identifier.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide your account and profile, to run gameplay and calculate scores fairly, to show Leaderboards, to provide any paid features, and to understand product usage so we can improve BrainBrew.
Leaderboards and public information
BrainBrew shows daily Leaderboards. Your username and the country you selected are shown publicly on Leaderboards and are used for country-based rankings and global/country comparison. There is currently no option to hide your country. After an account is deleted, its past results remain but appear without identifying information.
Who we share information with
We use a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (accounts, authentication, database, and server functions), RevenueCat (subscription management), Resend (delivering sign-in-link and service emails), Google (Sign in with Google and Google Play billing on Android), and Apple (Sign in with Apple and App Store billing on iOS). We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use your information for advertising or cross-app tracking. Purchases are handled by the relevant app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) and by RevenueCat; we do not receive or store your payment-card details.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed. Your account, profile, and practice history are kept until you delete your account. Raw usage events are kept for 90 days and then deleted; aggregated summaries may be kept longer. Ranked scores and timing are kept in anonymized form after deletion for fairness and the integrity of competition.
Account deletion
You can delete your account from inside the app (Profile → “Delete account and data”), or request deletion at brainbrewgame.com/account-deletion or by emailing brainbrew.app@gmail.com. When your account is deleted, we remove your profile and practice history and the local record of any subscription, and we remove your identity from your Ranked records (your scores may remain in anonymized form). Deletion is normally completed within 30 days, except where we must keep certain records for security, fraud, billing, legal, or backup reasons. Deleting your account does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription — cancel that in your store account settings; any refunds are handled by the store.
Security
We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), server-side access controls, and server-authoritative validation of gameplay.
Children
BrainBrew is intended for people aged 16 and over and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Your choices
You can play without giving your name or email. You can request deletion of your account and personal data as described above, or contact us at brainbrew.app@gmail.com with any privacy request.
International
BrainBrew’s data is stored by Supabase in the Singapore region. If you use BrainBrew from another country, your information is transferred to and processed there.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and change the effective date shown above.
